About Amy
Amy is a co-founder of the NJ Home Girls, one of West Orange, New Jersey's top 3% listing teams. Our clients enjoy working with us (as you can see from our many 5-star reviews), and we genuinely enjoy working with them.
Before hanging her real estate shingle, Amy spent 25 years working as a television and documentary film producer. Yes, she got to work with some cool celebrities (like Harry Belafonte and Grover the Muppet), but her main job was taking a bunch of different elements and bringing them together to create a show...and keeping
the process running when challenges arise. This is the the skillset that she and her business partner (and fellow entertainment industry alum), Jill Capone, bring to buying and selling real estate. In every transaction, they know how to control the process rather than letting it control them.

Like many of her clients, Amy moved to the New Jersey suburbs after living in NYC (as well as Washington DC and Los Angeles). She grew up in South Orange, and now lives in neighboring West Orange, and loves all the area has to offer: diverse communities, rich cultural & recreational options, and, of course, easy access to everywhere from NYC to the Jersey Shore to points north.
Amy firmly believes that the best way to sell a community is to be active in it. As a member of the Downtown West Orange Alliance, she promotes the commercial and recreational opportunities the town has to offer. She also manages social media content for the Montclair chapter of the League of Women Voters and is a member of the West Orange Women's Club. Throughout her daughter's time in the system, Amy was actively tied to the West Orange School District, serving several terms as PTA President and Executive Board member, and is currently a Trustee of the West Orange Scholarship Fund. Her extensive involvement makes Amy a trusted member of the community, allowing her to share her wealth of information, insights and connections with her clients.
Hobbies: Bad Yogi online yoga classes, cooking, politics, trying to play golf with her husband at one of the many golf courses in the Midtown Direct area
Fun fact: Amy walked the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival (for the movie Sicko on which she was a field producer).
Favorite podcasts: The Bulwark, The Rewatchables, Dolly Parton's America, The Grand Scheme, Questlove Supreme
Favorite spot in West Orange: the view of NYC at the top of Walker Road. Seriously... you gotta see this!
