About Alison
Alison J. Petersen grew up as a “Navy Brat” in the county of San Diego, California; daughter of an F-4 Pilot, Captain John S. Brickner, and a REALTOR® Grace Brickner. Real Estate seed was planted in Alison by her mother’s example: at a young age, she was taught through theory and practice, the art of putting clients' needs first, as result, Alison first sold residential Real Estate in the County of San Diego, California with her mother.
After graduating from Monte Vista High School, Alison achieved her undergraduate degree from University of California, Santa Barbara and her Masters in Business Administration from University of Nevada Reno. In 1994 Alison started her Real Estate career in sales, teaming up with her mother and they worked at Century 21 in San Diego County. Grace and Alison worked with many relocation buyers and military families using VA loans. As years passed by, Alison still is in touch with her original broker and Grace still sells Real Estate at 87 years old!
After working on the commercial side for Intrawest Inc. and Squaw Valley USA in the late 1990’s, she decided to make the move back to residential sales with Coldwell Banker NRT, the leading residential company in Tahoe City as she held a spot among the top agent position for the years that followed. She worked diligently and successfully sold throughout the Lake Tahoe community, which earned her the prestigious Presidents Circle during her 7 years with Coldwell Banker.
Alison’s life changed when she fell in love with her husband, Jeffrey Petersen and moved to Danville just after their wedding in December 2005. While maintaining her busy Real Estate career, all across California —from the snow covered hills in Tahoe throughout the sunny beaches in San Diego— Alison and Jeff grew their family with 4 kids over the years; They are the best gifts that God has ever given her and her husband.
In her personal time Alison devotes her energy to her husband and makes sure her kids get to school and sports practices. Additionally, she and her family attend Community Presbyterian Church, Saint Isidore's Catholic Church in Danville and actively participates at the NF2 Children’s Tumor Foundation, National Charity League, and has been a member of the Danville Children’s Guild for the past 11 years.
Believe it or not, Alison still finds time to work out, build her friends up and read for fun.
