Karin O'Quinn

Nineteen-year Vail Valley resident Karin O’Quinn has joined Compass Real Estate as a Broker Associate in its Vail Village office.

Born in Zomba, Malawi, Africa and raised in Alexandria, Va., O’Quinn followed the classic scenario of moving to Vail to ski and falling in love with the summers. Following her graduation from San Diego State University with a degree in Journalism, she drove through Vail and was tempted to stay, but continued on to Washington, D.C., where she accepted a position with a software company.

She moved to Denver in 1995, purchasing a second home in Vail in 2002 and moving here full-time in 2007 so her two daughters could attend the Vail Ski & Snowboard Academy. O’Quinn took a position with the Town of Avon in the building department, where she learned the ins and outs of the building and construction side of real estate before earning her real estate license in 2015.

Initially starting in fractional/vacation ownership and timeshare, O’Quinn evolved her business into the Vail Valley luxury residential arena, working with both buyers and sellers.

Karin’s multi-faceted experience in all sides of the real estate business brings a depth of knowledge to Compass Real Estate that will greatly benefit her clients. Her perspective of being drawn to the Vail Valley for the skiing and finding year-round living appeal, falls directly in line with the growing trend among new buyers and second homeowners to spend more time in the Vail Valley.
