Jim's early exposure to real estate began when he was a child through his mother, Alice Brady, a very successful real estate agent who later became a Broker and opened her own real estate company shortly after raising her 6 children.
Through his childhood upbringing Jim developed a keen interest in real estate investment properties , with a particular fondness for the Jersey Shore. Alongside his wife Jane, they ventured into the world of "fixer-uppers," successfully buying and flipping homes in sought-after locations such as Lavalette, Normandy Beach, Seaside Park, and Spring Lake.
In 2021, Jim and Jane made a significant move, selling their long-time residence in Wyckoff, New Jersey, and relocating to a fixer-upper in Manasquan. However, this time, the renovation turned their 1887 Victorian fixer-upper into a cherished home that they decided they loved too much to even consider selling even though they could have flipped the home for a huge profit of at least $300,000.00 in less than a year .
During their time in Wyckoff, while raising their three daughters, Jim and Jane also very wisely diversified their ventures by strategically choosing locations on the brink of gentrification in New York City . In 2001 and 2002, they became lease owners of three floors in the Garment Preservation District, transforming the dirty sweatshop factory floors into the widely popular Loft 11, Penthouse 15, and the West Side Loft event spaces
Jim and Jane's investment in the Garment Preservation not only marked a pioneering move in the district but also contributed to the area's sudden transformation into a desirable destination for private, corporate, and celebrity events.
In 2005, Jim and Jane continued their astute investments with the purchase of a commercial co-op penthouse duplex apartment, which was being used as a hugely popular event space named Studio 450, on the far West Side of Manhattan. Their impeccable timing coincided with the creation of the Hudson Yards District in 2005, further solidifying their reputation as savvy real estate investors.
Today, as dedicated Compass real estate agents in Manasquan, Jim and Jane are wholeheartedly committed to assisting individuals in buying and selling homes in Monmouth and Ocean County.
